Last night at the wonderful Pela/Dirty On Purpose show at B61, The Music Slut ran into Brian, drummer of The National.He wanted me to let you know that the new album is coming along just fine, a probable release by mid '07. No fretting necessary.
Also, he requested that you guys: a) pick up the new Midlake album, b) don't hate the band because they skipped NYC this last tour and c) to keep the faith for CYHSY as he declared the new album will blow your socks off (even if you weren't impressed, like us here, with the debut). He also has managed to hear a few new Arcade Fire tracks but refused to comment on them for fear of the Canadian police flying down into Brooklyn, forcing him to listen to Celine Dion and ultimately, arresting him. Did you all have a nice Halloween?
