After last night's performances (photos & review here), she had the following words to share: *I felt really nostalgic about playing love songs in New York in the summer because it's pretty much what I did before Yeah Yeah Yeahs. It's just what I felt like doing right now so I don't think there will be any more shows like this. The main thing I'm concentrating on is the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs record, which we've been working on for a while and it's nearly done. It should be out by early next year.*
James Golstelow tells NME: *I saw a hat being thrown from behind me and it hit Amy's beehive. She looked down, saw me looking up, and her elbow went for me. She caught my forehead, then someone may have shouted something from the back, which is when she went in again. Both LPs will be out by the end of the year. Peter Moren shares the following words with NME regarding one of the records (which will be entirely instrumental): *"It's very melodic and unpretentious and laid back. We each have our own theme song. Mine has my grandfather telling a story in a local dialect, and John's has a haidresser from his village telling a story. It's probably going to be called Seaside Rock, to tie together the themes of water & sea."* MP3 below.
