Remember that call I gave out last week for musicians who were looking for a director for a video or concert? Well because of that I have been introduced to some pretty awesome music.
First is Tom Thumb and the Latter Day Saints. I can't decide which of the seven songs I like best off of their Kindermusik ep. 'Dark Rooms' is definitely a favourite (but maybe that's because it's playing right now on my computer) as is 'Gracie's Mine' and 'Growing Boy.' They also do a fantastically haunting version of Springsteen's 'Atlantic City.' I would describe their music as a bit of Sufjan with easier melodies and some slightly poppier riffs.
