Holy shit, what a great show!
Who would have guessed that such fantastic music could come out of San Francisco, of all places?
Singer, Peter Arcuni, is like Win Butler on unlimited espresso. He demands your full attention without any iota of pretention. It's a true unbridled passion for beautifully crafted songs that Pete evokes on stage which keep fans coming back each time, fists raised and mouths agape.
The set opened similarly to the last Sin-e show from June, with 'Ice Age'.
The slow build of that song makes it the ideal opener within their collection of outstanding tracks. The entire set was flawless so it'd be hard to pick just one favorite. The band just floors me. Their live show is truly like no other.
Their awesome (yes, that's the only word to describe it) debut LP, No Midnight finally got its long overdue official release last month and the boys showcased the album to perfection at Merc last night. For the love of Jesus, buy it buy it buy it. If you don't love it within 48 hours... err, well, then you can leave us nasty comments.
Full setlist:
Visit the guys, tell them how much you love them and hear 3 LP tracks and one EP tune over at their MySpace page.
How great is this shot?
Tonight it's The Gaskets turn to throw it down at The Merc. You KNOW we will be there.
