Joseph Arthur - Nuclear Daydream Review
Another artist recommended to me by the lovely Joan As Policewoman. Joseph can be heard doing some background vocals for Joan on Real Life. Turns out Joseph Arthur has been around a while himself. However, Nuclear Daydream is my first introduction to his music. Similarly to M. Ward, Joseph really captures you with his voice and depth of each song. With hints of Jeff Buckley and hints of David Bryne, it's easy to see why I was drawn to this release. I think it would make a perfect pairing with Nellie McKay's Pretty Little Head (OUT ON TUESDAY, FINALLY!!). Here's the first track on the album, 'Too Much To Hide' (yousendit).
