The Kooks - Inside In/Inside Out Review

Let's see: 5 Top 5 singles in the UK, a million copies sold (also in the UK), 2 sold out NY area shows, and a behemoth amount of buzz around their debut album. Yep, it's The Kooks, straight outta Brighton!

Heralded as the next best thing since The Vines Razorlight Mystery Jets Arctic Monkeys, The Music Slut was dying to hear what the fuss was all about. Turns out it's actually a quite decent album. Perhaps a little on the long side, at 15 tracks, but the album runs the gamut from catchy acoustic numbers to more sexy electric guitar-driven songs. Lily Allen has even attempted a cover of the band's staple, 'Naive'. Now do you give a damn?

The band has just added a special in-store at Soundfix for Saturday afternoon, 10/28. It starts at 2pm but I gather by 1pm you won't even get in, so be prepared! A track below for your sampling pleasure.
