Via NME: The organisers of T In The Park are launching a new festival to take place in Scotland next year.
Connect will take place over the weekend of September 1 and 2 in the grounds of Inveraray Castle in Argyll. The event will have a capacity of 20,000 people.
Geoff Ellis, CEO of organisers DF Concerts, said: "We're delighted to be able to confirm Connect's location today in one of the most beautiful settings I've ever seen and are very much looking forward to working with the Duke of Argyll and his team at Inveraray Castle to deliver what will be a truly unique event not just for Scotland but for the UK as a whole."
The line-up and ticket details are yet to be confirmed, however interested fans can register now for information at
Connectmusicfestival.com.
You just know that line-up will be insane.
Here's some MP3s from some of my favorite Scottish/Scottish-fronted bands (I'm sure Skye will have some to add as well, being Scottish and all!):
Mogwai - I Chose Horses
Delgados - Repeat Failure
Garbage - #1 Crush
Idlewild - Roseability
Arab Strap - Kate Moss (live)
Travis - Why Does It Always Rain On Me?
