New Rufus Album In May

NME reports: Rufus Wainwright's new album will be called 'Release The Stars'.

According to rufuswainwright.com, the follow up to 2004's 'Want Two' will be produced by Wainwright himself.
Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennant will serve as executive producer. The two had previously collaborated on 'Matinee Idol', a track from the Pet Shop Boys live album 'Concrete'.

The album will be released in May. As previously reported Rufus Wainwright is due to recreate Judy Garland's 1961 New York Carnegie Hall shows at the London Palladium on February 18 and 25.

And as you probably already know, here in NY, Rufus and the fam will be at Carnegie Hall once again for their annual Xmas show, tonight! Special guests for the evening already include David Byrne and Teddy Thompson. Who's making the trek to 57th St?
