Those in the NY-area probably have fond (or maybe not so fond) memories of PLJ - 95.5 (yes, it's still around). Back in the early/mid-90s they'd play such artists as Coldplay, The Police, Everything But The Girl, and even a little Cure once in a while. I'm sad to report that while reviewing Billboard's Hot Adult Top 40 tracks, the genre has really gone to shit.

Take a look at this genre's top 10 most played artists across the country this week: 1. The Fray, 2. Snow Patrol, 3. Nickelback, 4. Hinder, 5. John Mayer, 6. Rob Thomas, 7. Evanescence, 8. KT Tunstall, 9. Mat Kearney, 10. Goo Goo Dolls.

YIKES! Everything except KT makes me kinda want to hurl (OK, I can deal with Snow Patrol once in a blue moon). Just further proof that the majority of this country still has atrocious taste in music and that dating/marrying Jessica Simpson will surely boost your career.
