20,000 More Troops- Raise Your Hand Who Wants To Go

Last night, President Bush laid out his upcoming "plan" for Iraq. This "plan" included committing over 20,000 more troops to the area in yet another "surge". This time however, those troops will be used a bit differently. Instead of acting on their own, they will be integrated into the Iraqi army in order to help train them and let's be honest, keep tabs on them.

I am holding my breath to see if Nancy Pelosi and her 100 hours can stop this from going forward. If this does go through though, I am at least glad to see the mixing of American and Iraqi soldiers. Hopefully, this can help both sides by aiding the Iraqi's in their training and helping our guys out with a little tolerance and understanding (is that wishy washy? well, I don't care).

Listening to the Iraqi head of security go head to head with a BBC correspondent about Saddam's hanging, he ended up looking like a liar and an asshole. I think their entire government needs to be wiped out as inadequate and inept which is nothing but unfortunate as seeing how many million people actually voted there in 2005.

To send more troops, or not send more troop? To fix the mess we've made or leave it up to Iraq? It is a difficult choice at this point and hindsight is always 20/20- if only we did it right the first time. The same could be said of Somalia right now where once again, America seems to have backed the bad guys...
