Keep those fingers crossed!Billboard reports: Butch Vig has confirmed that there may be new Garbage material in 2007. “Despite the layoff, the group has been sharing song ideas via the Internet in recent months and is hoping to record a few them in March. “We need to sit down in a room and play them and get them complete,” Vig says.
Butch has also stated that he has been working with Shirley Manson on tracks for her forthcoming solo album, due for release later this year. Vig has also written a couple of songs with frontwoman Shirley Manson for her in-progress solo album, but adds, “she has worked with seven or eight different people, just to see what the chemistry is like.
It took awhile for her to get up to speed. She hasn’t played me anything yet, but I’ve heard the songs are great.”
