Denmark's newest buzz band and hometown heros, Under Byen, just might become your new favorite band. That is, if you enjoy a good splash of experimental saw-fiddling with non-English vocals (stop staring at me). A poster at the Sigur Ros message board declares:
belle and sebastian + mum + bjork = under byen, check them out it's awesome. I have to say, I'm diggin' it, a lot as well.
Their latest album, released late last year,
Samme stof som stof (Danish for "Same fabric as fabric"), has gotten rave reviews all around the European media circuit. The band makes an NYC appearance March 5th @ Bowery Ballroom. Under Byen fans, is the show worth my $13?
