Since blog tag teaming is the new "I've quit blogging," your New York contingent has partnered with the wonderful César of the website MusicIsFreeNow.org and the band The Lisps to bring you Savoir Faire on March 1st at Fontana's (Eldridge b/t Grand and Broome ). César and The Lisps will be performing as will The Subway Band, Bell and Scary Mansion. I have only seen Bell live before but I must say, she is worth the price of admission alone. She is a cross somewhere between Nellie McKay, KT Tunstall and The Sugar Hill Gang. And of course, our site is a big fan of the adorable Lisps.
The schedule for the night's show is:
8pm The Subway Band
9pm Bell
10pm The Lisps
11pm Scary Mansion
Admission is a measly 7 bucks and your own Matt and Jen MusicSlutNYC will be djing throughout the night. Click the lovely image in the upper left hand corner to view the full poster.
The event is still looking for some sponsors, anybody interested can email us at TheMusicSlut@gmail.com or César at cesar@cesaralvarez.net.
All you NYC kids can catch The Lisps tomorrow night (that is the day after Valentine's Day) at Galapagos in Brooklyn. The band is headlining so they should be on at 9pm. Good news is, there is NO COVER.
Go check it out, report back, brave the cold.
