Think a little harder, those of you with your arms by your sides. Back in '97, they had a huge UK single with the infectious (I adored it at the time), 'Tattva', which became a buzzworthy video on MTV, here in the States. The album it was lifted from was entitled K.
Alternative radio played the song a decent amount during that year.... Oh hell, just watch the video.
Now do you remember? Good. Seems like Kula Shaker is b-b-b-back, for the first time this side of the '00s (looks odd in print, doesn't it?). The Tripwire is reporting that the guys are hard at work on their third album and they are keeping fans updated on its progress through this (MP3) podcast. Since the '90s, Kula Shaker has sadly, severed all contacts with the existing record labels they were affiliated with, internationally. However, Japan has shown some immediate interest in the new project, which somehow doesn't surprise me,and will be the first to release the album this spring. Guess this one will have to be an import-only purchase, folks.
