Explosions In The Sky @ Webster Hall: Strobe Lights & Blown Speakers

I could tout Explosions In The Sky until I'm blue in the face and I'd still go on and on, I simply adore these guys. Their passion, intensity and exemplary instrumentation go unparalleled to any other live act. Tonight was no exception as the band floored the sold-out crowd at Webster Hall.

The set was a sort of seesaw through all of their releases to date, although a focus was definitely put on their latest effort, the magnificent, All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone. The selections that the band chose for tonight really fused nicely into one another, creating a perfect balance between their harder-edged/experimental sounds and the prettier guitar tinkering that we've come to know and love.

EITS will tour just about everywhere over the next 2 months; check out all those dates here. Don't say I didn't warn you! I've attached one of my favorite Explosions tracks (which incidentally sounded incredible tonight) below to get you prepared.
