No, he's not going to shave his head and name his next album 'Animal Rights/Love Sounds' (as great as that would be), BUT Justin will be opening a new restaurant on New York's Upper East Side in the near future, a la Moby's mega-successful Teany. Except don't expect any organic teas from JT, the focus of his establishment will be good ol' Southern BBQ.
According to this article, from one of my favorite pop culture blogs, Towleroad, JT will be bringing us his 'sexy back ribs' (I couldn't help myself!) sooner rather than later.
Here's some more: "According to the exclusive broker for both sides, James Famularo of NYCRS, the Tennessee boy plans to open what’s described as a laid-back, festive barbecue joint called Southern Hospitality. As with his first restaurant Destino, the shaved showman will partner with Eytan Sugarman, owner of bygone clubs Suede and producer Timbaland’s Harlem venture Cherry Lounge. Famularo says that Timberlake will have a larger stake in the new place: 'I heard a lot of people with Tennessee accents,' he said of a recent drop-in. 'Justin is bringing a lot of his group up to be a part of this.' If all goes as planned, the opening will coincide with the conclusion of the FutureSex/LoveSounds tour in late April."
Anybody live closeby to the restaurant location? Has work on it begun yet? Will it flop like Britney's NYLA? So many questions...
