Based on first day sales in Europe and pre-orders here in the States (close to 400,000!) it looks like not only will The Arcade Fire debut in the top 5 of the UK Charts, but at the top of the US charts as well! In fact, all signs are pointing towards a #1 debut in the US for Neon Bible.With a first week sale price of as little as $7 throughout the 50 states (head to Best Buy, should you dare), Arcade Fire might just have the #1 album in the country through use of a marketing bonanza including SNL, neonbible.com, and much-hyped warm-up shows which most of us were shut out of (still angry). The best news in all of this is that Arcade Fire will finally debunk Norah Jones from the top spot (hallelujah!). As always, the UK chart positions will be posted Sunday evening and by Tuesday night, we'll have a good idea of US final numbers.
