Details are still fuzzy but NME is reporting that Hamilton Leithauser, frontman and guitarist of The Walkmen, was arrested this past Thursday 'following an incident at the Crown Plaza Austin Hotel'.What the hell?? The word on the street is that there was some sort of 'misunderstanding' and that alcohol played a major part in the whole ordeal. Hamilton told NME: 'I got arrested and spent 12 hours in a jail cell... It was a real treat!'
I'm sure it was (not)! The Walkmen still managed to play all of their scheduled SXSW shoes. Insane, insane. In more positive news, our latest Walkmen review, from last week's Bowery Ballroom gig, can be found here! The show was superb, as always.
