Just like Jen, I'm completely enamored by WinterKids. The young Brits have released one of my favorite albums of the year thus far with their debut LP, Memoirs. For me, it's as if The Anniversary, Art Brut and Arctic Monkeys are all trapped in a jail cell with Jarvis Cocker as the prison warden. Classic Britpop sensibility, yet sounding totally modern and fresh. NYers, the band is IN TOWN TONIGHT! They will be at Mercury Lounge, playing at 8pm sharp! Do NOT miss this one!! The Sluts will surely be in attendance singing & bopping along.
