Jeff Buckley has more lives than the Energizer Bunny! The latest compilation will act as a Best-Of and will be titled 'So Real: Songs From Jeff Buckley'. It'll see the light of day May 28th.
I love Jeff Buckley to pieces but since his passing a decade ago (yes, it's been that long, already), there've been at least a half dozen compilations/b-side/live/early performance/other releases. Is it just me or should we leave Jeff's legacy in tact and end the madness?
My suggestion to Jeff newcomers - pick up the Live @ Sin-e EP, Grace and Sketches For My Sweetheart, The Drunk. There's no need for the rest...
However, if you are a Jeff completist, here's what to expect on 'So Real'.
Tracklist: 'Last Goodbye'/'Lover You Should Have Come Over'/'Forget Her'/'Eternal Life'/'Dream Brother' (alternative take)/'The Sky Is A Landfill'/'Everybody Here Wants You'/'So Real' (acoustic live performance)/'Mojo Pin' (live)/'Vancouver'/'Je N'en Connais Pas La Fin'/'Grace'/'Hallelujah'/'I Know It's Over'
I will say this, his cover of The Smiths' 'I Know It's Over' is BREATHTAKING if you haven't already heard it.
