Andrew Bird, Decemberists, Jesse Malin Going 'Green' For Earth Day

Earth Day Fest, now known as The Green Apple Music Festival, will happen April 20th-22nd in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco. Now in its second year, the festival's mission 'to raise environmental awareness by combining live musical performances from diverse genres with educational outreach and cultural events suitable for all audiences'. Sounds good to me.

Other acts on the multi-city bill that might be of particular interest to our slutloyals - The Walkmen, Electric Six, The Kaiser Chiefs, Smoosh, Xiu Xiu & Mono. Oh, and Taylor Hicks. Yes, rumors are beginning to spread that the majority of the better acts will be found at Chicago's event (you lucky bitches), while it's already been confirmed that NY will be getting the American Idol, himself. It can only go up from here!
