Arctic Monkeys Perform A Chart Hat Trick

1, 2, 3 weeks at #1 for Arctic Monkeys' latest LP, Favourite Worst Nightmare, on the UK charts. Quite the feat when you consider that Manic Street Preachers, Travis and Bjork all had impressive debuts (all within the top 7) with their latest albums over the last seven days.

Other debuts that failed to reach the upper echelons of the charts include: Groove Armada's Soundboy Rock at #10, ex-Cranberry Dolores O’Riordan at #28 with her solo debut, Are You Listening?, and Elliott Smith's collection of outtakes, New Moon, landing at #39 (check out the album's cover art here).
