Praised by mainstream media outlets NPR, Time Out & The Village voice alike, Brooklyn's Chris Garneau is a unique combination of a male Regina Spektor, a heavily sedated Mika, and/or a musical cousin of Sufjan Stevens.
His debut LP, Music For Tourists, has been getting some heavy play on The Music Slut's iPod for the past week or so, with its gentle melodies and soothing vocal harmonies. We give it two thumbs up.
Learn more about Chris and check out all of his upcoming tour dates (including 5/18 at Mercury Lounge and 5/19 at Union Hall) here on his MySpace page.
Next big thing?
