The Virginia-based trio may list 'crunk' on their MySpace page under style of music, but they surely fit much nicer in the male-fronted 'indie-pop' genre.Part early Pavement (ok, a rather large chunk), part Wire, part Promise Ring, Greenland brings a sound all their own to the sometimes monotonous world of Shins derivative, Bitchfork-approved indie-pop. The band will emark on a mini Northeast US tour this June. Check out those dates and sample some tunes from Greenland here on their MySpace page.
