The Fratellis have been offered, and immediately turned down, the opportunity to record the official song for David Beckham's first game as a member of the LA Galaxy. The trio was asked to re-record The Beatles' classic, 'Hello Goodbye', for the July match, but have declined.
Fratellis frontman Jon Fratelli explains: "We've turned down a huge list of ridiculous things like that... We're not a bunch of traveling salesmen. If we don't get successful on our own terms then we won't do it at all.
We were like, 'No fucking way.' It would have got us noticed, of course, but we'd have lost our self-respect."
