The very first show that Jen & I threw for Anniversary #1 of The Music Slut (back in summer of '06) featured a splendid opening set by one of our favorite local acts, We Are Americana. With the exception of a few scattered gigs, the NY-based quartet has kept mysteriously quiet over the last few months. Drawing comparisons to Placebo, The Smiths, The Pixies and Gang Of Four alike, we're thrilled to report that the group has returned with not only a fabulous single, but a new name as well - Pratique!
