Shout Out Louds & Johnossi @ Bowery: After The Jump Jump

Last Thursday, After The Jump dj'd the sold-out Shout Out Louds concert at Bowery Ballroom. Despite some technical difficulties, it was awesome being up in that balcony djing a show we were all so excited to see. It was a bit surreal and daunting actually.


It was a Stockholm-centric night and I got the syndrome. Second band of the night, Johnossi, was a welcome surprise before Shout Out Louds. Totally fresh and rocking and not too bad on the eyes either. Bands from Sweden sometimes remind me of a cool breeze on a humid day. They remind you that it all isn't tepid.


Speaking of a fresh breeze. The Shout Out Louds, oh aren't they lovely? 'The Comeback' is such a brilliant song that if you bought a ticket to the show just to see that, you probably wouldn't be disappointed. The band is taking a tour around the South and hitting LA before jumping back over to Scandinavia. Make sure and check them out before they leave the country and the American visa Nazis don't let em back in.
