The Walkmen @ Canal Room: Short And Sweet

On Thursday evening, both Jen and I went to the DL AOL Party. For those who haven't checked out the DL yet, it's a weekly program on AOL that is a video-based indie music, news & pop culture web show.


The show is hosted by Sara Schaefer, an up and coming stand-up comic (who is friggin' hysterical) and pop culture-obsessed. To celebrate the first week of The DL, AOL hosted a fabulous party at Canal Room featuring the aforementioned Sara Schaefer and TMS all-time-faves, The Walkmen.



Though they only played 4 songs, they did manage to squeeze in 'Louisiana' amongst 3 new unreleased tracks. It was of course, amazing.



It was also nice to see The Walkmen when it wasn't pouring rain outside! (McCarren Park, can you hear me?)


The band is sneaking in a CMJ show at NYU on 11/2. Will you be there?
