NME's got the scoop: Stereophonics are set to reissue their debut album 'Word Gets Around' on its' ten year anniversary. The double disc set will contain with original album plus a bonus disc of B-sides and a "punk" version of the track 'She Takes Her Clothes Off'. The package with also feature new photographs from the period. A release date has yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, posting on the band's official site, singer Kelly Jones has written about the first playback of songs from the band's new album.
The band are currently in the process of recording the the follow-up to 2005's 'Language. Sex. Violence. Other?'. Jones said of the record, due out later this year: "In a nutshell - people love this new record. The word is - it's probably our best yet, and I have to admit I fuckin agree ha ha - it's having it!! "I will wipe the floor with all these two song albums that are kicking about at the moment, all these bands that are more like imitation bands more concered for a big careers than a big heart and soul...don't get me started."
