Nick Drake Collection Of Rarities On The Way

Somehow, perhaps respectfully, in the 30+ years since Nick Drake's sudden passing, only a handful of posthumous LPs have been released. However, that will no longer hold true as of June 19th when the upcoming compilation, Family Tree, will finally see the light of day. Addtionally, a massive box set should also be in stores by Christmas time.

As for Family Tree, the extensive collection was put together by Drake's manager Cally, and features covers of tunes by Bob Dylan, Jackson C. Frank and Bert Jansch amongst a bevy of unreleased originals. The recordings are 'lo-fi... with audible bits of Drake speaking and conversing between tracks' (quote via Billboard).
