Sigur Ros Circa '95

This is hilarious. As one forum poster at 18 Seconds Before Sunrise writes: a photo was published in morgunblaðið newspaper this morning that is too funny not to start a thread about it... (more below the pic)

it's a photo of bee spiders (jónsi and kjartan) performing in 1995. jónsi performed under the pseudonym jonny b and kjartan was the backup singer/dancer in drag, 17 years old at the time :)

As Wiki explains: In 1995, Jónsi fronted a band called 'Bee Spiders', under the alias 'Jonny B' (a hidden reference to 'Jón Birgisson'). He wore sunglasses onstage throughout the whole concert. Bee Spiders received the 'most interesting band' award in 1995 in a contest for unknown bands called 'Musiktilraunir' (Music Experimentations). The band played long rock songs and was compared to the Smashing Pumpkins.
